Giving up coffee money to help Bantayan Island's victims of the disastrous Super Typhoon Haiyan (locally known as Yolanda).
For as little as $5 CAD dollars you can feed a family for the day and donate money to help buy sleeping mats, blankets, basic supplies like food, drinking water, medicine, medical supplies, candles, flash lights, lamps and camping tarps.
Super typhoon Haiyan is one of the largest storm to hit landfall (source: Globe and Mail) roughly 3.5 times more forceful than Katrina (source: CNN). Haiyan made landfall in the Philippines as a Category 5 storm (the largest). Hurricane Sandy, which devastated the U.S. eastern seaboard, made landfall as a Category 3 (source: LA Times).
Our Goal: $5000 CAD by Christmas. See our progress progress here!
